Aroused from a sound sleep by angry voices, pleas for understanding and breaking glass, Colleen cautiously pushed open the door to their family room. Bill, still in his robe and pajamas, slapped his daughter across the face. Justine, fully dressed, stumbled backward caressing her jaw.
